Sleep Recovery by Lisa Sanfilippo (Bloomsbury 2020) ~ Lisa Sanfilippo’s guide to Sleep Recovery written for the general public.
Yoga Therapy for Insomnia and Sleep Recovery by Lisa Sanfilippo(Singing Dragon 2019) ~ A comprehensive manual on Lisa Sanfilippo’s Sleep Recovery Yoga for those who work with others on sleep issues.
Books by Lisa Sanfilippo are available via local bookshops or https://www.lisasanfilippo.com/the-books
No More Sleepless Nights ~ P. Hauri & S.Linde A fulsome book, covering also different sorts of sleep issues.
Say Goodnight to Insomnia ~ G. Jacobs A very manageable size, this book moves through progressively more involved sleep logs & also has an interesting section on positive & negative thoughts on sleep. [Note, I cannot recommend the appendix on infant sleep, which seems out of keeping with the tone & approach of the book as a whole.]
This Is Happening, Redesigning mindfulness for our very modern lives ~ Rohan Gunatillake An accessible, wide ranging book, with a myriad ways of bringing mindfulness into life, no matter one’s interest, experience, life patterns & commitments. This book could serve equally as an introduction to the nature & scope of mindfulness & as a lifelong companion to dip into as needed to refresh or deepen one’s use of mindfulness.
Meditation for Busy People ~ Dawn Groves
The Artist’s Way, A Course in Discovering and Recovering your Creative Self ~ Julia Cameron Not only for artists, or those who consider themselves creative, this book includes the journaling tool “morning pages” (a nice description of morning pages can be found here: www.paperartstudio.tripod.com/artistsway/id3.html ) as a way of dealing with one’s internal censor.
